Friday we pretty much relaxed in the motor home. We did go see the little store, talked to the manger, walked the preserve and checked it out, as well as enjoyed the hot tub. The temperature was in the 50's .. .. a little cold for our taste.
Saturday morning we did laundry and cleaned the motor home. In the afternoon I decided that we should go into town and take in a movie. I had found a place which served dinner while watching the movie. Sounded like a pretty good "date" to me.
It is a place called McMenamins. They are in the Oregon area, this one was a Catholic School, converted into a theater, a pub and a small hotel. The seats were living room style love seats or sofas. You ordered your food and they delivered it to you during the movie. The locals, whom had been here before, were quick to get the sofa's with a table next to them, we weren't so lucky. Actually it was rather fun, although we had to balance plates in our laps, try not to make to much noise, etc.
The movie we saw was "Bucket List" with Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman. It was an excellent movie which made us both really think about different things. It had humor as well as sobering events. We would recommend it to everyone.
This morning, we are busy catching up on blogs, photos, etc. The temperature got down to 23 last night. We switched from the heat pump to the furnace for a much warmer coach. As I look outside now, it is snowing rather hard ... .. OK, we have had enough of winter already! Maybe we shouldn't have called the kids and harrassed THEM about there cold weather this winter !! Paybacks are ... well you know.
Hopefully the insurance company and the body shop will resolve any issues and we can get out of here. Once again, when we leave, it is forecasted to get much warmer here. This storm is a very unusual event and when talking to the locals, they are tired of it as well. Reminds me of Ohio, if you don't like the weather, stick around, it will change.
We are going to have some lunch then head over to Crater Lake, which is expecting another 6 inches of snow today ... .... wish us luck.
